We don’t get many jobs come into Juice that really change the way we look at life, but when the guys at the Teenage Cancer Trust asked us to design and illustrate their patient guide, we can safely say that this was one of those jobs.
We don’t get many jobs come into Juice that really change the way we look at life, but when the guys at the Teenage Cancer Trust asked us to design and illustrate their patient guide, we can safely say that this was one of those jobs.
The Teenage Cancer Trust an amazing charity that provides treatment and support for young people diagnosed with cancer, wanted a handbook that would guide patients and act as a source of comfort from the moment they hear the word ‘cancer’.
After a series of focus groups at the Royal Marsden, we developed a playful illustration style that appealed to both the youngest (13 year old) and oldest (24 year old) patients. And with over 100 illustrations and nearly 200 pages of beautifully written copy (thanks Matt), we’re really happy with how the handbook has come together.
We also just wanted to say a big thank you and get well soon to everyone we met at the Marsden. It was a real pleasure spending time with you and we can honestly say the handbook wouldn’t be what it is without you. Thanks again x
BMA Awards – Highly commended
“The creative and thoughtful approach that the Juice team gave our project with has been greatly appreciated. A vast, and sometimes difficult subject matter, was made digestible and patient friendly through great design.”
