Teenage Cancer Trust partnered with us to design their Guide to Cancer. This printed book is given to people aged 14-24 most likely in hospital whilst beginning treatment for cancer. The content is quite heavy, understandably, there are many daunting but important topics being discussed. It was our job to make this guide engaging, non emotional and appealing to both the bottom and top end of the target audience. Especially 16+ audience it was important for them not to feel embarrassed having this guide out on the side of their bed when having visitors for example. Therefore, if was key that things don't feel too young. The content inside is quite functional with the odd illustration being added in. It was important this guide delivered information in a clear and non emotive way. The creativity came mostly with the front cover and beginning spreads.
